We often get the question of whether our OCR engine will work even if the device running it is not connected to the Internet.
No matter if you use the version for Windows, Linux, iOS, or Android, it will work in offline mode, as all OCR processing is done in every device itself. No data leaves your device or premisses for processing!
"That sounds great, but what about licensing?"
Once your software loads our OCR engine library, there will be sent a license request to our licensing server and a license will be issued and stored on the requesting device. Hereafter there is no more use for the Internet connection.
Some customers do not allow connection to the Internet, and for such customers, we offer a way to request and issue licenses via a web portal, which can then saved locally and moved to the device that is not connected to the Internet.
